Today, photography is a passion of mine that developed out of a love for the wilderness, and the desire to capture moments in the ways they were experienced. As the student of a fine art photographer, but also a mountain athlete, my roots are technical at heart, and minimalist by nature.
I grew up in San Francisco as a 4th generation native, attended St. Ignatius College Prep, and played Division I lacrosse at Hofstra University in New York, where I earned a degree in Entrepreneurship from the Zarb School of Business. I have continued to be deeply involved with competitive athletics by competing in more than 30 triathlon events including IRONMAN 70.3 Hawaii. I am currently the commissioner of The Olympic Club Triathlon Team.
Whenever I am not training, I spend as much time as possible getting myself into wild open spaces. As a mountain athlete, I have a background in ski racing, ski mountaineering, ice climbing, and cross country skiing, and in summertime, mountain bike search and rescue.
Over the last few years, I have jumped at the chance to explore open spaces within Patagonia, Peru, Bolivia, New Zealand, Australia, Ireland, Iceland, Norway, Poland, Germany, and throughout the US - particularly in the Northern Sierra Nevada, Yosemite, Jackson, Wyoming, Kauai, and of course the San Francisco Bay.
I am also a commercial real estate agent for Rosen Realty Group, a firm that has been in San Francisco for thirty years, representing tenants only, in their search for office space.
I intend to pursue my passion for wild spaces, mountains, and people, by traveling overland, and with the camera, whenever possible.
Tallyho,
Jordan
